I picked up Abelardo Morell's Monographs yesterday and it's Beautiful. He does a lot of great work, projecting upside-down cityscapes on interior spaces with a camera obscura, and taking beautifully detailed black and whites of old books. Truly a master of light, which all great photographers must be!

Dope chairs from one of my favorite showrooms in Los Angeles, Twentieth (8057 Beverly Blvd., LA 90048). They specialize in the kind of funky, irreverent design that makes me LOVE DESIGN. Their showroom is divided into vintage and modern, and they even carry art that I seriously considered buying as a proper begining to my (hopefully large and fabulous) future art collection.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas, Missouri

In 1999 Steven Holl architects renovated the Bloch Building in translucent crystalline blocks
adding the perfect modern complement to the original Neoclassic museum. He described the blocks as "lenses" that would draw light into the galleries inside.
